"The truth is: Belonging starts with self-acceptance. Your level of belonging, in fact, can never be greater than your level of self-acceptance, because believing that you're enough is what gives you the courage to be authentic, vulnerable and imperfect."
Couples seek therapy for many reasons, often wondering, "How did we end up here?" I help you rebuild your connection by teaching you how to read your partner better, communicate honestly and effectively, and resolve conflicts. In addition to traditional talk therapy, we take time to facilitate actual, meaningful moments of connection between you and your loved one. This process allows you to restore a healthy, loving, and attuned relationship that works for the both of you.
Personal Growth & Exploration
We all have things that keep us from showing up as our "best self" - therapy can help. Seeking support when you feel stuck is a great step toward personal growth and meaningful change. Struggling with anxiety, self-esteem, difficult family patterns, body image, boundaries, vulnerability, coping skills, or life transitions? We'll work together so you can reclaim your inherent wisdom, accomplish your goals, and find the life you want to live.
INTUITIVE EATING COUNSELING
Befriend Your Body
Feel out of control around food? I work with people to find food freedom and peace with their bodies. If you are tired of feeling crazy around food, chasing "wellness", and don't want your life to revolve around your weight, it's time to try something radically different: Intuitive Eating. You'll learn to: ditch the diet mentality, eliminate food guilt, end the diet/binge cycle, respect your body just as it is, and reconnect to joyful movement.

GET TO KNOW ME
Hi, I'm Shelly! I'm honored to serve as a therapist in Fort Collins, Colorado. I am deeply committed to fostering authentic connections and building community through counseling. I believe the best therapy sessions meet you right where you are - tears, laughter, and everything in between is invited.
Together, we build non-judgmental awareness of engrained habits, beliefs, and biases that hold you back - and then move toward meaningful change with intentional action.
My approach is holistic - every part of you is welcomed in this space and met with compassion. I am a PACT Level 2 (Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy) and Gottman Level 2 practitioner. When it fits, I weave in contemplative practices (mindfulness) and CBT skills. I operate from a systems, racial justice, and Health at Every Size® lens.
Outside of this work, you can find me hiking, biking, paddling, and generally just soaking up the magic of wild spaces. I love live music, belly laughs, bad dancing, coffee in handmade mugs, and am fascinated when nature, science, and spirituality come together.
"A healer does not heal you. A healer is someone who holds space for you while you awaken your inner healer, so that you may heal yourself."
